Thanks for revisiting and subscribing.
An affiliate is a person who refers potential new buyers to a seller’s site. Affiliate sites offer a number of advantages. In addition to being potentialy very lucrative, affiliate sites can be up and generating income quickly. As is true of most internet business, setup costs are low. An affiliate can sell almost any product imaginable, or any combination of products.
Being in the affiliate marketing business is not that hard now with the Internet at your disposable. It is much easier now compared to the days when people have to make use of the telephones and other mediums of information just to get the latest updates on the way their program is coming along.
Anyone, yes, ANYONE can be an affiliate. All you have to do is to own a blog or a site, sign up at an affiliate site as an affiliate, and post the affiliate code in your site, and you are done! But most affiliate sites require you to apply for being an affiliate, and your application will then be reviewed before it gets accepted or rejected.
OK, being an affiliate and putting the affiliate code in your site are easy stuffs. Anyone can do it. Anyone can be an affiliate. But the big question mark lies here: ARE YOU AN AFFILIATE WHO GENERATE CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF INCOME? Some people might be an affiliate, yes, but there are no visitors to their site, and the few that do visit, aren’t interested in the product the affiliate is selling. So what should you do?
First, you have to determine your niche. A niche is a focused category of a market. For example, if your site is about pets, and you signed up for a real estate affiliate program, chances that the visitors will buy the product are slim to nothing. But, if you signed up for a pet food, pet house or even pet clothings affiliate program, there will be a possibility that your visitors might click that affiliate link and buy the product, and you end up receiving commission for the product that you advertised, and sold, because most of your site’s visitors are those who are interested in pet, and there’s no reason why they shouldn’t click the link and buy stuffs for their pets! Of course, you’ll have to think of a way to attract visitors to click on the link and buy it.
