Inexpensive Thin Client

Thanks for revisiting and subscribing.

Converting From Traditional PCs to Virtual Environments

The advancing technology of the internet is starting to gain momentum for cloud computing, namely the use of inexpensive thin client terminals and virtual desktop infrastructures to provide the user with computing power.  Most of us who are deeply involved in various internet marketing strategies already utilize small aspects of the cloud theory of computing through our actual websites, various promotional tools (DIGG, web-based email, Wordpress, etc.), but have yet to let go of our laptops and desktops to completely embrace the cloud computing concept.  The biggest questions is why?  With the advancing stages of Internet technology, is converting over the thin client based system advantageous for the lone Internet marketing expert?

In general, the thin client system uses a very weak computer to provide access to a server partition with your name on it, and along with it access to a virtual desktop environment housing all your beloved programs and data.  There are certain aspects of this that will appeal to almost all Internet marketers, but others that will turn you away.  First off, software licensing.  You will no longer need to place a certain piece of software on every machine you use, instead just placing it on the virtual environment, which you then access via any terminal device (thin clients, laptops, smartphones, and so on).  The same goes for files.  You will never have to worry about losing a certain file or piece of content on a local hard drive or piece of flash memory since every little piece of data will now be stored out on a server in virtual land.

Along with this distinct advantage comes an increased in the level of data security, if you’re will to pay for it.  Working as a double edged sword, you can more securely keep all data on the server partition if you can handle setting it up and providing proper security tools.  If you aren’t into that end of the programming, then you’ll have to pay for it.  With everything online without security tools, your data may be at risk.  Luckily, most thin client terminals come with additional security features to help provide a basis for virtual security.

The use of thin client terminals provides many Internet marketers with a more free lifestyle.  You are no longer glued to a single machine or location, and all your software, from graphics programs to programming tools, can be stored in an area where you can manage and utilize them from any location globally.  Also, you can save a small fortune on a computer, with thin clients and server space being cheaper than ever.  In fact, many major businesses and corporations have adjusted or converted their entire company over to a thin client style network, helping them to increase productivity and the efficiency of their computer networks.

So fellow internet marketers, do you currently use a thin client or cloud-based computing system, or are you still working with a more traditional system?  If so, how much have you embraced the cloud computing revolution?

Are Telephone Landlines a Thing of the Past?

By Rich Teen On July 27, 2010 No Comments

There is a typical debate in most homes about when it is going to be time to ditch the terrestrial telephone in favor of the much more technologically advanced cellular phone.  Many younger adults already live in a home without a telephone, instead relying entirely on their new cellular connections.  Even with all this shifting to a cellular-centric culture, I don’t think telephone landline providers have much to worry about, their services will still be needed for years to come.
While cellular phones are a very popular option when it comes chatting with friends, they also now offer Internet service, email reception, text messaging and more.  The big question is, since the cellular phone can now handle everything from data entry to writing a blog, will it replace the home computer or laptop?  Probably not, and the same thing goes for landline telephone service.  Terrestrial telephone services are a very handy thing to have in general.  With a landline service, you will never have to worry about losing your connection, since the phone line is far more reliable than your cellular signal, you will almost always have a clear signal, and emergency services will always know where you are when you call.  For many, this is a very important selling factor, especially since tracking an emergency call through a cellular signal can be a challenge for any emergency service.
Even though we would like to think our advancing technology as a replacement for the reliable services of the past, why reinvent the wheel when you don’t have to?  Due to the very reliable and affordable nature of this service, it will likely be around for a very long time.  Luckily, most phone companies have expanded their services to include a number of other desirable services, including Internet, cellular service, home security systems, and web hosting, among others.

The Revolution Of Internet Marketing

Forward: It has been ages since I posted the quality killer post and here I come now!

In this real world, our parents, teachers, seniors and even friends have taught us that why and how we must be a good gentleman. Everyone should have heard that all those romantic BS that why we should be a kind and gentleman. Furthermore, you should have heard before that we should be like George Washington, be an honest kid. But that’s real BS if you go and check the history.

I always hear that “As you sow, then you shall reap”. In Chinese, there was also a story where we must give advantages and better things to other person even though we will suffer. They said that suffering and giving out things shows that we are more MAN! That’s a real BS!

“A GENTLEMAN WILL HARM OTHER PEOPLE RATHER THAN HELPING”

The villains living in this world is able to control the politics, finances, mankind and even everything. For example, if you are a gentleman and seeing your lover will be snatched off by your competitor cum villain, what will you do? If you were a so called “GENTLEMAN”, you will let her go right? But after the girl is married happily with the “VILLAIN”, he will show out his torturous skills and made the girl sad. So if you were a GENTLEMAN, you should win the girl’s heart even harder than the VILLAIN rather than letting her go. By winning the heart, you are actually saving her from a VILLAIN’S torture.

“THE NEW IDEOLOGY-VILLAINOUS GENTLEMAN!”

In the society, the strong will kill off the weak just like in the food chain so what exactly is a Villainous Gentleman? It is just like when villains are using tactics to kill you off, you respond immediately with better tactics. It is not the old fashioned “Let Him Off” way.

By using this method, you not only help yourself but you also help to fight off those bad guys, just like Wolverine! He is a villainous gentleman!

To Your Villainous Success,

Bankus Eng

Also called by his friends as the “Founder Of Villainous Gentlemen Idealogy”

What’s Up With Our New Theme?

Welcome to the new Internet Marketeen! I hope you like our new look. The new theme is actually Carl Ocab’s Ultimate Blogging Theme but I hired a great guy called Steven from Digital Point to recode it and have a magazine type front page. Steven was someone I enquired about theme coding and he charged me quite a reasonable price considering the though job he did over almost a week. Kudos Steven! I told him to do up a rough draft on his test blog and if I like it, I will just let him continue with it. As what you would have know from reading this post, I liked his revamp of my old and sucking theme.

The new revamped theme has been tested on the latest version of FireFox and Safari but it’s not compatible with Opera and IE in this moment of writing. If you’re using browsers like IE or Opera, it will look darn jumbled up. Changes to the blog include a magazine style front page, featured video, a newsletter of mine plus video bonuses which is in process of setting up, new logo and brand name and some other new stuff which you’ll definitely notice later.

Things Are Not Finished Yet Steven!

I’ve tested the theme extensively on the test server to make sure everything worked. However, there is always the possibility of  something that will get pass me and Steven. Please check out the my new theme and tell me what you think about it. If you get any loopholes, please let me know as well.

I want to thank Steven for his work on this new theme. I don’t think Steven will charge anyone that high on his excellent graphic design so give him a poke on his messenger and he will definitely do a great job for you if you name my name!

Determining A Blog’s Success

By Rich Teen On February 7, 2009 7 Comments

If you are using a blog to make money online, or if you are really hoping to make some money online with your blog, then money is obviously your standard to determine how well you are doing towards your target. But what if money is not your target of having a blog-how can you really determine how success your blog is?

Every problogger or IMers has their own standard of measuring a blog’s success. For some of them, it may be traffic, but others will aim for more subscribers, and there are also bloggers who prioritize comments.

Below are some the standard of measuring a blog’s success that most bloggers to evaluate how their blogs are going on.

Traffic

This is one of the most common ways bloggers seem to evaluate a blog are different measures of traffic.Different bloggers seems to have their own thinkings for different aspects of traffic.

Unique Visitors

The main uses of unique visitors is to count the number of people who visit your blog. The main problem of determining this accurately is because you can’t really know who is visiting unless they log in into their account.

Page Views

Page views are the total number of pages read in a web browser. Each post might receive different number of page views and by comparison, you will be able to work out which post is much more popular and giving you a wider exposure of what article your reader like the most.

Subscribers

Bloggers mostly love to compare their feed subscriber rate but why are them so popular?

Counting a blog’s subscribers gives you a good indication of how popular it is in reality because they are the people who wants to catch up with what you post.Subscribers are mainly split into RSS and Email(Opt-In) subscribers.

RSS Subscribers

rssRSS Subscribers are the people who use feed readers to read your posts. They normally uses a feed reader to pull down updates from your blog and they never really visit your blog to save time.

The most popular tool to use for feed at the moment is FeedBurner, and this is the tool that most probloggers use to compare subscribers rate with each other.

Email Subscribers

emailIn addition to RSS reader, many bloggers like to publish their latest posts through email. There are services that allows you to take your RSS and deliver email updates once there are updates.

An advantage of an email mailing list is when a visitors subscribes to your mailing list, you get his email and this is also a much more accurate way to indicate your number of subscribers.

Comments

You can count how many comments each post receives after removing junk and spam.If each of your comments receive 10-20 comments, it is quite good and you can try to improve it by encouraging more comments.

Many blogger judge quality as equally as quantity because it takes nothing to publish a bullshit and promotion comment in the comments area but someone who posts about a idea generating or suggestion comment can be more satisfying.

Comments Please. :-)
