By Valerie Christopher

If you want to ensure that your site has been successfully viewed, crawled, and indexed on key search engines, then you must make sure your site adheres to the best Search Engine

Optimization (SEO) practices online.  Through SEO, your site will enhance its visibility, become more profitable and sustain itself as an important internet marketing tool online.

There are several ways to tell if your site is on the right track with SEO practices.  First you must begin by creating a site that is relevant to a specific topic and then making sure that

topic is searchable online.

Several Ways to Improve Visibility

Create key words that target the site’s content

Test your keyword phrases used on your site by seeing if they appear in major search engine results

Page titles and page descriptions should begin with your keywords

Keywords should appear often throughout your copy

Various links to your site should be created in other copy you produce online in order to increase web traffic to your site

Your site should be listed in an open directory

List your site on various human-reviewed directory lists

Every page on your site should have keywords rich with meta tag descriptions

If you have been following all the instructions above, your Web site is on its way to achieving some of the best SEO practices available online.  If all the instructions above appear to be

new information, there is still hope for your site’s traffic.  If coming up with specific keywords to target your site’s content is one of your major problems, there are some tools available that will enable you to compare the popularity of keywords and keyword phrases in order to increase web traffic.  These sites are: WordTracker, KeywordDiscovery and Yahoo’s Keyword Selector Tool.

Some of the best SEO practices is just from making sure you consider yourself to be an expert on the subject matter you want to convey on your Web site.  If you are not an expert, then now is the time to become one if you are serious about investing on the topic.  Second, act as an information architect.  This is when you understand how your site visitors think about the topic on your site, from its menus to its icons, you should be asking yourself if it’s consistent and whether or not it creates a clear navigation from one page to another.  Finally, it’s important if you haven’t already done so to consult with SEO specialists before designing your site.  Through an SEO specialist, they can teach you how to create necessary links to make your site more interactive and SEO friendly.  They can also provide you with the essentials necessary to ensure that your site has the best SEO practices in place, while showing you ways to target visitors and a great return on your site’s long-term investment.

Free and Easy Techniques To Increase Visitors To Your Page

By Rich Teen On November 25, 2008 No Comments

A good way to drive tons of traffic to your site is by giving out testimonial for other person’s products or services in your niche or market. Most websites will display your name and web address below your testimonial.People see these testimonials and will often click on your link to see your site.

Most hosting providers gives you with statistics on how many visitors are coming and how they are coming. If I place a testimonial and it brings me traffic, that will show up on my stats too.

When you are buying e-books with resale rights, sell it as it’s free.Normally, when you buy an ebook with resale rights, you can get the e-book and a ready-made sales letter in the form of web page. You can add your link and contact info to this page and use it on your website or online auctions.

What most people do are just pass along generic web page when they resell them. What I will do is to add my on testimonial(with my web address) to this page in an appropiate spot and include that in my resale package. When customers resell them again, they put the page I modified on their site.I also get more traffic and boost my credibility.
